Find Your Polling Place For Election Day
If you live on Campus at MSU, it is fairly easy to vote.
-Crawford residents vote in the Preska Building (there will be signs)
-McElroy residents vote in the Preska Building (there will be signs)
-Preska residents vote in the Preska Building (there will be signs)
-Sears Residents vote in the Preska Building (there will be signs)
-Stadium Heights Residents vote at the Army Reserve Center, 1558 Pohl Road, Mankato

Registering To Vote Before The Election
YOU DO NOT NEED TO REGISTER AHEAD OF TIME, you may register at the polling place when you go to vote.
If you wish to register ahead of time you can register in the following ways:
-Paper Application, must be received by October 18th either through the mail or dropped off at the local county election office, find your county election office here
-In Person at your county election office
Register At Your Polling Place on November 8th
You can register on election day with proof or residence through one of these 7 ways:
1-ID with current name and address (MN driver’s license, learner’s permit or ID; or a receipt or any of these, or a tribal ID with name address, photo and signature.)
2-Photo ID and a document with current name and address
Approved photo IDS (choose one, and it can be expired)
-Driver’s license, state ID or learner’s permit from any State
-U.S. Passport
-U.S. Military or Veteran ID
-Tribal ID with Name, Signature, and Photo
-Minnesota University, college or Technical College ID
-Minnesota High School ID
Approved Documents to prove address (choose one, can be shown on electronic device)
-Bill or start of service statement due or dated within 30 days of the election for:
-Phone, TV or Internet
-Solid Waste, Sewer, electric, gas or water
-Banking or credit card
-Rent or mortgage
-Residential lease or rent agreement valid through Election Day
-Current student fee statement
3- Registered Voter who can confirm your address
The registered voter can go with you and confirm your address, this is vouching and they will sign an oath confirming your address. A registered voter can vouch for up to eight voters. If someone vouches for you, you cannot vouch for others.
4-College student ID with housing list
Some colleges and universities may provide a housing list to election officials. If you are on the list, show your college ID and complete the registration.
5-Valid registration in the same precinct
If you moved or changed name, you show your previous registration
6-Notice of late registration, if you get a Notice of Late Registration in the mail, bring it with you to prove your residence.
7-Staff person of a residential facility. A staff person can vouch for you and can vouch for all the eligible voters in the facility.
